We have the following opportunities available with law firms or corporations in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. A $300 referral fee is available for any new candidates who have not previously contacted the company. Please let me know if you would like additional information.
Attorneys
In-House Patent Counsel – Fortune 100 company located in central Dallas. Position requires five of years patent prosecution experience, as well as 3-4 years of experience as scientist/engineer in technical role in related business (e.g., circuit design at the chip level). Candidates must be a registered U.S. Patent Attorney and be admitted to a State Legal Bar (prefer Texas) (BSEE and law degree). Electrical engineering knowledge and experience is required. Digital signal processor, microprocessor, telecommunications, or similar design, programming or patent prosecution experience desirable. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Contract Commercial Litigation Attorney – Position will last 3-6 months working with Managing Partner of a mid-sized firm in downtown Dallas. Experience with products liability matters is a plus. Minimal travel. Hourly pay rate is commensurate with experience.
Tax Attorney – Large firm with a strong regional presence. Must have 2-5 years of tax law experience within Texas. Candidates with an LLM are preferred. Salary to low $100’s. Opportunities exist in Dallas and Houston offices.
Paralegals
Commercial Litigation Paralegal – International law firm with busy litigation practice; qualified applicants must have a four-year degree and a paralegal certificate. Proficiency in Summation and Concordance is required. Must have prior trial attendance. Large firm experience is preferred. Salary to upper $60’s with strong job stability and experience.
Contract I.P. Litigation Paralegal - Boutique firm in central Dallas; position will support several attorneys handling various types of intellectual property litigation matters. Position requires experience with CaseMap, Concordance or Summation. Prior I.P. experience is preferred, but litigation experience with strong software skills will be considered. Position will begin immediately and last through trial which is currently set for February 2009. Hourly pay rate is commensurate with experience.
Bankruptcy Paralegal - Regional law firm in downtown Dallas. Prior bankruptcy experience is helpful, but it is not preferred. Qualified applicants need 7+ years of commercial litigation experience and excellent job stability. The firm requires 144 billable hours per month. Salary range up to $60k plus bonus.
Secretaries
Litigation Secretary – National law firm with 250 lawyers in four offices; Firm offers the benefits and stability of a large firm with the collegial office environment of a local office. Qualified applicants must have 5+ years of commercial litigation experience along with the ability to handle a busy desk. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and have experience with electronic case filing. Exceptional job stability is a must. Salary to $60k.
Litigation Secretary – Boutique law firm in downtown Dallas with a strong intellectual property practice. Position will support 3 attorneys handling I.P. litigation. Qualified applicants must have at least 10 years of commercial litigation experience; I.P. experience is a plus. Exceptional job stability and proficiency in MS Office required. Firm pays parking. Salary to upper $50’s.
Temporary Secretaries - Several large and mid-sized law firms have opportunities for short-term temporary assignments in downtown Dallas. Candidates will be trained on the firm’s software and operating procedures, then called in as needed to cover vacant desks. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who just wants to keep busy and periodically earn a little extra income. Hourly pay rate is commensurate with experience.
Administrative
Part-time Receptionist – Boutique law firm in downtown Dallas; firm pays parking. This is an exceptional opportunity for a student who wants to gain legal experience, as hours are 3:45 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Must be comfortable answering multi-line phones, greeting clients, filing and handling general administrative duties. Salary is commensurate with experience
